Ahmad Shah’s Mosque is the oldest mosque of Ahmedabad and also known as Juni Juma Masjid and Shahi Jam e Masjid. Ahmad Shah’s Mosque was built by the founder of Ahmedabad, Ahmed Shah I in 1414. Ahmed Shah’s Mosque was earlier used as the royal household’s private mosque. Ahmed Shah’s Mosque is situated in the area of around 700 square meters with 152 pillars along with four arched gateways. There are also eight stone windows and around 25 carved pillars.
