Vichaar Museum

Vechaar Utensils Museum is locate in Ahmedabad city of Gujarat, India. Vechaar is a short form of Vishalla Environmental Centre for Heritage of Art, Architecture and Research. Vechaar Utensils museum was founded in 1981 and was the idea of architect Mr. Surender C Patel. The main motto of Vechaar Utensils Museum is to preserve our cultural heritage and rare artistic skills of our craftsmen. There is a extensive study of utensils from thousand years before to present time which has provided information of human kinds changing needs as well as environment. Vechaar Utensils Museum is a part of Vishalla, a traditional restaurant. Vechaar Utensils Museum has a unique collection of utensils, nutcrackers and nut cutters some of which are gathered from villages, factories, towns and antique dealers. Vechaar Utensils Museum is a hut shaped museum and all the items are freely displayed without any box or case. Vechaar Utensils Museum has over 3500 types of utensils and equipment which includes pitcher, betel boxes, incense burners, laps, nutcrackers, ritual accessories, lamps, pot and many more.  Museum has two galleries one is of metal utensils and other for net crackers.
