Yamunotri Yatra Guide
Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna and is one of the four holy Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Located at an altitude of around 3,293 meters in the Garhwal Himalayas, it marks the origin of the Yamuna River.
The temple is surrounded by stunning mountains and natural beauty. Near the temple, devotees visit the famous hot water spring known as Surya Kund, where rice and potatoes are cooked as prasad.
The trek to Yamunotri starts from Janki Chatti and is around 5–6 km long. Pilgrims can walk or hire ponies, palkis, or take doli services.
