It is believed that seven great Rishis Kasyapa, Atri, Bharadwaj, Viswamitra, Gautama, Jamadagni, and Vasistha performed penance at Saptrishi Lake in ancient times. Saptrishi Kund is also a natural source to find high quality blue sapphires, a precious gemstone.
