Lotus Temple

Lotus Temple-"Dawning Place of the Remembrance of God." Lotus Temple is one of the most visited monuments in the world and it is a modern style non-religion oriented temple. it is known as the Mother Temple of the Indian continent. Fariborz Sahba is the architect of this beautiful structure, who is an Iranian. It was opened for the public in 1986.  Structure of the temple is derived from the Lotus, the national flower of India. A person from any religion can enter the temple and take part in the rituals and no religious script allowed inside the Temple. There is no pictures or statues of any worship idol inside the temple. The surface of the temple is made up of white marble. The Temple is surrounded by nine ponds and beautiful gardens covering 26 acres. The temple is shaped in a half-open lotus flower. There are nine doors to enter the central hall of the temple. Visitors required to maintain the silence inside the hall. It is located close to Kalkaji Mandir Railway Station and Nehru Place. Winter is the best time to visit the Lotus Temple, between October to March. The Temple is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 am to 50:30 pm during the Winter Period and from Summer Period from April to September it is open from 09:30 am to 07:00 pm. Lotus Temple closed on Every Monday. It will take more than an hour to visit the temple. Lotus Temple's prayer timings are 10 am ,  12 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm. Each prayer will take five minutes and each prayer specify a different religion. Entry Charges is free to Lotus Temple.
