About Qutub Minar
The Qutub Minar which is sometimes refer as Qutab Minar or Qutub Minar also is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Mehrauli area of Delhi, India. Qutab Minar is a 73 meter (around 239.5 feet) tall tapering tower which includes five stories. Qutub Minar was started by Qutb Ud Din Aibak who was the founder of Delhi Sultanate in the year around 1192. However, construction work was carried by different ruler during different years. A visit to Qutab Minar will show you the rich history of India. Qutab Minar has several historically important monuments within its complex which includes Quwat Ul Islam Mosque which is considered as one of the first mosque of India, Alai Minar, Ala Ud Din’s Madrasa and tomb, Iron Pillar, Tomb of Imam Zamin to name a few. Every year Qutab Minar hosts three day Qutub Festival where artistes, dancers and musicians from all over the world gathers and perform.
