Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Father of the Nation Mahatama Gandhi. Mahatama Gandhi was cremated at Raj Ghat after he was assassinated on 30 January 1948. Rajghat is situated around 5km from Janpath, Delhi. Raj Ghat is a black marble platform which marks the spot of Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation. Raj Ghat is a open to sky and on one side round the clock an flame burns.
